The Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation, our national philanthropy, was created in 1969 to extend the philanthropic arm of the fraternity. Recently the foundation has added a new philanthropic focus - School and College Readiness! Studies show that poor and disadvantaged children entering kindergarten already have lower levels of educational achievement than non-poor children. A child’s early experiences and environments are crucial to their future development and success in school and life. Families and communities play an integral role of helping influence children get ready for school. This is a limitless cause which allows every sister to fully participate. Together, we can help prepare children to learn in order to help them succeed.
